Krauanagaz Expels 12 Zuhlgani Nationals from Nation Amid Poisoning Allegations
The Krauanagaz State Department today released a statement announcing the expulsion of 12 Zuhlgani nationals from Zuhlgan’s Embassy in Krauanagaz in connection to allegations of former Ambassador Naka Kapalan being poisoned. The move comes following mounting tensions between the two nations after Ambassador Kapalan’s expulsion from Zuhlgan due to explosive reporting from The Scope which indicates that Kapalan was the head of a Federal Defense Intelligence Agency (FDIA) operation in Zuhlgan codenamed ‘Operation Phoenix’.
According to the classified documents obtained by The Scope while serving as the chief Krauanagazan diplomat in Zuhlgan, Kapalan reportedly coordinated efforts to gather intelligence, sow discord within key government institutions, and cultivate alliances with dissident factions. One anonymous source within the intelligence community asserts that the arrest, and likely execution, of Autark Neoahl Patatulla was in large part due to activities authorized by Kapalan. FDIA has not commented on the leaked documents since the reporting from The Scope.
The revelation rapidly escalated tensions between the two nations, and set into motion Ambassador Kapalan’s hospitalization and subsequent death, which Krauanagaz has attributed to poisoning by Zuhlgani operatives illegally in Krauanagaz. In a statement issued by the Krauanagazan State Department, officials declared the 12 Zuhlgani nationals persona non grata, citing their alleged involvement in activities deemed detrimental to Krauanagaz’s national security and diplomatic interests.
The expelled individuals, including embassy staff and some diplomatic personnel, have been given a limited time frame to vacate the premises of Zuhlgan’s Embassy in Krauanagaz. The expulsion represents a significant escalation in the deepening diplomatic rift between Krauanagaz and Zuhlgan that regional geopolitical experts warn could easily develop into a, “full-scale war.”
Zuhlgan has yet to respond to the expulsion order, heightening concerns over the potential for further deterioration in bilateral relations between the two nations. The international community remains wary as tensions contintue escalate, with calls for dialogue and diplomatic resolutions to prevent potential hostilities between Krauanagaz and Zuhlgan.
