Zuhlgan’s GSA Confirms Succession Process: Divine Committee to Convene
Ozákla, Zuhlgan— In a highly anticipated press conference held earlier today, the Government Services Administration (GSA) provided the first official details on the succession process following the death of Arkava Ga’klar Ibinete IV, confirming that the Divine Committee will convene to select a new leader— but declining to name an heir apparent or provide a timeline for the decision.

Despite widespread speculation that the deceased Arkava’s eldest son, Ga’klar Ibinete V, might be the heir-apparent, Ur-Táikka declined to confirm or deny any potential candidates.

The Arkava’s passing marks the first time in over two centuries that a Zuhlgani head of state has died before naming a successor. The Sacrosanct Privery, led by Divine Sovereign Tiberius Zea, will provide spiritual guidance and ensure that the new Arkava is acceptable to the religious establishment. Celestial Sovereign Besan Ur-Zetani, the supreme religious authority, has not been seen in public since delivering a speech to honor Ibinete following his death. His absence has fueled speculation about his willingness to endorse a successor.
“The clergy does not select the Arkava,” Ur-Táikka clarified. “But the Arkava must be a faithful servant of Zhukva. The Divine Committee’s decision will respect that spiritual dimension.”
The international community has welcomed the announcement, while urging the Divine Committee to ensure a peaceful and transparent transition.
President Thalira Renkara of Krauanagaz issued a statement expressing support for, “a process that respects Zuhlgani law and preserves regional stability.”
