South Korea’s most used message app KakaoTalk’s new major update is terrible.
Some information:
KakaoTalk seems like they have been losing users to Instagram etc., and decided to update… by adding functions that we see in Instagram — short videos, newest updates by other people displayed on the main screen…
Many people dislike the new update; some people are sharing ways to turn off automatic app updates. Unfortunately, my phone updated the app before I did anything. Now I am unhappy.
Now the question is: will the users that moved to Instagram return? And what effects will this update have on those who are not used to social media, especially the elderly?
Anyways personally I really dislike this update… maybe I’d get used to it someday. But definitely not anytime soon.
