A bit odd that member states can’t conscript a small fraction of their population but can conscript a large fraction, or am I reading that wrong?
My guess is that that was written that way to ensure that conscription is applied broadly and relatively fairly, thus preventing the singling-out of a particular minority group.

This resolution is a straightforward and important human rights measure. It establishes a clear prohibition on slavery, trafficking, and forced labour while carefully avoiding excessive interference in legitimate national governance. With strong moral grounding, precise definitions, and reasonable exceptions for national service and voluntary contracts, it strikes an effective balance between protecting individual dignity and respecting sovereignty.
The resolution addresses a genuinely transnational problem that individual nations cannot always solve alone. By facilitating the repatriation of trafficked persons and targeting only the most egregious practices, it provides meaningful protections for victims without overreaching. Minor concerns about enforcement or sanctions are understandable, but they do not outweigh the core principle: slavery and trafficking are fundamentally incompatible with basic human rights and deserve international condemnation.
Overall, this is precisely the type of issue the World Assembly should address. It advances universal human rights through international cooperation without undermining national authority. A vote FOR is the right choice to uphold individual liberty on the global stage.
Has OWL considered publishing analyses written by AI?
I have not personally. I sometimes do ask AI for ideas on how to enhance a coding for a factbook dispatch. I am behind the curve when it comes to AI.
I personally don’t think there should be any place for AI in writing the actual substance of a recommendation. That even goes for asking it for “suggestions”; the entire point of these analyses is to summarise what the people in the region think of the resolution, not what ChatGPT “thinks” about it. Even in an instance like this one, where there isn’t much to go on from others, I’d be far more interested in being taken-through the reasonings for or against a resolution as thought-through in their entirety by the individual writing the recommendation (even if it’s somewhat unpolished), than in being given something where a at least some level of that thinking process was abdicated to AI.
Now, I see no problem with using AI for help with formatting or grammar. But anything beyond that really should have no place here, at least in my opinion.
