(7) Under Approval Voting instant-runoff voting, winners ‒ as many as specified for the respective position ‒ are determined as follows;
- As their ballot, a voter either indicates all candidates they approve of rank the candidates in order of preference, or including the option to Re-Open Nominations. The voter does not need to rank all candidates or the option for Re-Open Nominations, but at least one of them is necessary.
- Until enough winners have been found, the most-approved best-ranked candidate among the non-winners becomes a winner.
- The option to Re-Open Nominations wins in place of the winners who have been approved ranked before this option on less than half of all ballots.
